Name: Art
Age: 8 Years Old
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Palomino
Training: Reining
Level: Fully-trained
Information: His defining trait is laziness. He'll do anything to get out of work and puts the minimum amount of effort into his flatwork He also takes advantage of riders who don't take charge. The things that make Art wonderful are his beautiful movement understanding on the course. He can go into auto pilot - he knows his job! Art is a very loving horse and really doesn't care what you do to him as long as he has food.
Name: Coppers Shining Knight
Age: 4 Years Old
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Thoroughbred x Arabian
Training: Reining
Level: Green
Information: Copper is a very spritely and fiesty horse. He's got terrible manners and a very bouncy, bargey attitude. If he doesn't want to do something he simply stops it and refuses to move until you do something else with him. He loves jumping a food, which is his weak point. He has a short attention span and is a hard ride.
Name: Ginny
Age: 6 Years Old
Gender: Mare
Breed: Arabian
Training: Reining
Level: Fully-trained
Information: Ginny is a 14.2 hand Arabian mare who lacks many of the typical Arabian characteristics. She has very smooth gaits and good manners. Ginny loves to be scratched behind the ears. She would make a great horse for a beginner because she is very easy to handle.
Name: Just My Style (Justin)
Age: 9 Years Old
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Quarter Horse
Training: Reining
Level: Fully Trained
Information: Justin is quite the workaholic. He is always the first one at the gate when it’s time to work and hardly ever gets angry during a work session, except for when he doesn’t understand what you are asking of him. He can be pushy and at times over-loveable, but that’s what some people love the most about him. Justin’s biggest problem is that he anticipates nearly every move you make and it is difficult to make him do what you want and not what he thinks he should do. Every time he crosses the centerline he will change leads and if you start running him down the long wall he will do a sliding stop. If someone could break these habits of his he would be the neatest little reining horse. Anyone can ride this horse, but to really make him perform at higher levels an intermediate or higher rider would be ideal.
Name: Chris
Age: 8 Years Old
Gender: Mare
Breed: Quarter horse
Training: Reining
Level: Finished
Description: This is a really pretty mare that stands about 15 hands. She is good enough for a beginner but competitive for a more advanced rider. Chris has a sweet personally and is powerful without being out of control. She is very willing to please and is a great reining horse. If worked right you could make the house team with this one.
Name:Head Over Heels (Macy)
Age: 7 years old
Gender: Mare
Breed: Arabian
Training: Reining
Level: Semi-Trained, School Movements
Information: Macy has all of the natural movements of reining down, running, stopping and changing leads. It’s the artificial movements that give her more trouble; the sliding stops and spins. It isn’t normal for one to see horse’s performing those things out in the wild, which is perhaps why this mare is having so much difficulty. She tries hard, but still just doesn’t seem to get the concept. Her rider may need to try various methods to what will work best with her. On the ground though she has everything figured out. She is quite the escape artist and knows exactly how to persuade treats out of anyone she meets. If you leave anything hanging around sitting near her stall be prepared to find it missing when you return. She also loves to have her tongue scratched, a trait that is uncommon but not completely unheard of. Her tongue will come lolling out of her mouth for just about every person that passes. Stop and scratch it or stop to give her a treat and you will be her new best friend, at least until someone new comes.
